Furniture isn’t exactly cheap. Friends and family sometimes have a few pieces to offer you here and there but, depending on how much furniture you need, this is usually not enough. However, the internet offers additional options you may or may not have known about. Here’s four of the best ones:
 
Though it has become one of the most popular places to buy and sell anything online, many are unaware of the fact that they have a free section. 
 
This website is becoming more well-known as people are looking to both save money and get rid of their unwanted things in a more earth friendly way.
 
Though not exactly an internet resource, this website will help you search for a furniture bank near you. 
 
Furniture vouchers are one of the many services the Salvation Army offers. Please note that to qualify for this assistance, you must be in “extreme need”.
 
When searching for free furniture, don’t forget to check for curbside furniture on heavy trash day and college campuses on move out day. A quick facebook post describing what you need may not be a bad idea, either.
